Folks often don’t realize how broad an Architect’s role really is.
Let us help with a quick definition: An architect is a person trained in the planning, design and oversight of the construction of buildings.
To practice architecture means to offer or render services in connection with the design and construction of a building, or group of buildings, and the space within the site surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use.
That means we take in the big picture:
Will you be able to use the built space?
Will you be able to afford to maintain the built space?
Will you be able to resale the built space?
Will the space accommodated you?
Will the space provide a sense of pride?
Will the space welcome others?
How do you use the area?
What else surrounds it?
Does this area relate to other areas visually or functionally?
And the list goes on. The architects here at Route 9 Design and Build are ready to assist you in the high level planning before a pen is ever put to paper – or mouse to computer screen.
